It turns out that Oregon is pretty nice in the fall. It’s been a bit rainy lately, but the sun pops out every now and then, making for some lovely afternoons. The photo above is from a running trail down the street from our apartment. I enjoy running by all of the colorful trees there, but I do not enjoy getting lapped by the Oregon men’s cross country team. Not good for the self-esteem.
Since returning from my trip to Kentucky, I’ve spent my days running (and perhaps talking myself into running a very long distance in April), eating cereal (a recently rediscovered love), watching an absurd amount of television, and attempting to figure out my sewing machine. Eric is currently out of town for a sustainable business conference of some sort, so I’m taking this opportunity to eat ice cream straight from the carton, watch girly television (Glee and Once Upon a Time), and listen to Christmas music before Halloween (Eric would not approve).
I have a pretty exciting recipe in the works, but for the sake of some better photography, I’ll wait until tomorrow to share it with you (the mega downside to all of these clouds is a very dark apartment). But I’ll give you a hint: nutella and cheesecake are involved!
Happy autumn day to you!
